Why Apex Clients Trust Us With Their Balayage
Apex is five minutes from our door. Clients across Haddon Hall, Scotts Mill, and Bella Casa come to us because we take time most local chain salons do not. The salons nearest to Haddon Hall and the surrounding neighborhoods can certainly cut hair and apply color, but what our Apex clients consistently tell us is that nobody else takes the time we do. Every balayage service begins with a 15 minute consultation, a real conversation about what is actually working and what is not, and a plan we both agree to before we begin.
There is also a real technical factor that matters in Wake County. Apex draws from the Cary and Jordan Lake water systems, and many clients tell us their color fades faster than they expect because of the mineral content. We account for that in every formulation, not just on your first visit.
What Makes Our Balayage Different
Hand-Painted Placement
We freehand every ribbon of color rather than relying on foils across the board. That lets us place brightness exactly where the light catches your face, with softer regrowth so you are not chasing a salon visit every four weeks.
Custom Toner Formulation
Balayage is only as beautiful as the toner that finishes it. We custom formulate every gloss to neutralize the warmth your hair is prone to, so your brightness reads buttery, icy, or warm honey rather than brassy.
Bond-Building From the First Touch
Every lightener is paired with K18 or Wellaplex inside the formula, not as an afterthought. Your hair leaves feeling stronger than it did walking in.
Pricing for Apex Clients
Balayage starts at $225 for partial placements and scales based on length, density, and how bright you want to go. We quote every guest during consultation. Every consultation is complimentary, and we quote the total investment before any product touches your hair so there are no surprises at checkout.

Frequently Asked Balayage Questions From Apex Clients
How often should I come in for a balayage touch-up?
Most of our balayage clients stretch appointments to 10 to 14 weeks because the grow-out is intentional. We recommend a gloss refresh every 6 to 8 weeks to keep the tone fresh without touching the lightener.
Is balayage right for dark hair?
Yes. Balayage works beautifully on brunettes and especially flatters Triangle-area natural brunette tones. We can create dimension that still reads brunette or take you toward a bronde lift, depending on your goal.
How long does a balayage appointment take?
Plan on 3 to 4 hours for a full balayage including gloss and blow-dry. First-time color clients get an extended consultation before we start the service.
