What's the difference between highlights and balayage?
Highlights use foils for precision and brightness lifted from root to tip. Balayage is hand-painted and softer. A lot of our clients combine both in the same appointment.
How often do highlights need attention?
Every 6 to 10 weeks, generally, depending on how close to the root we placed the foils. They grow out faster than balayage.
Can highlights be applied over hair that's already colored?
Usually yes. We look at your hair's history during the consultation and plan a lift that's safe for what's already there. Olaplex and K18 are used on every lightening service.
