Frequently Asked Highlights Questions From Raleigh Clients

What is the difference between highlights and balayage?

Highlights use foils to lift color from root to tip with more precision and brightness. Balayage is hand-painted and softer. Many of our clients blend both techniques in a single appointment.

How often do I need to touch up highlights?

Traditional foil highlights grow out faster than balayage. Plan on a refresh every 6 to 10 weeks depending on how close to the root we placed them.

Can you do highlights on color-treated hair?

Yes. Our stylists assess hair history during consultation and build a plan that lifts safely without compromising integrity. We use Olaplex and K18 on every lightening service.
